Your pet’s comfort and wellbeing are paramount to us at Larkmead Vets, which is why we have separate cat and dog wards for hospitalised patients at our Cholsey and Didcot practices. Each patient has their own kennel with comfortable bedding and we have walk-in kennels for large breeds.
Our cat ward has plug-in pheromone diffusers and we play calming music to relax our feline patients. Here, your cat can rest and recuperate away from the smells and presence of dogs.

In order for us to clearly and accurately monitor your pet, we will ask you for your pet’s normal time of feeding, toileting, and sleeping habits. Each in-patient has a detailed hospitalisation sheet attached to the door of their kennel so that our vets and nurses have easy access to their details.
Dogs are given frequent supervised access to outside toileting and exercise areas; in addition, there is a large grassed area to the side of the Cholsey surgery.
You can rest assured that your pet will be given lots of love and attention from our team throughout their stay with us.
