We have been using Larkmead Vets for over 30 years

We run a semi-closed, mixed livestock farm and have been using Larkmead Vets for over 30 years. We always find the team very helpful and accommodating. This was demonstrated during this very hot summer with TB testing. The vets came early in the morning, before the Practice was open, in order to complete testing in cooler conditions, which was far better for the cattle. This also allowed us to continue with our harvest, with very little disruption. They have a wide range of vet specialists, which has supported our animal husbandry which in turn become pro-active not reactive, for example pneumonia vaccinating in calves and also ewes to protect lambs at birth which in turn has cut our usage amount and costs significantly. Larkmead are a good sized Practice with plenty of 24-hour cover. Whether its night or early hours, there's always a vet on the end of a phone ready to attend. They also help to keep us abreast of any problems in the area, weather related or parasitic forecasts with their newsletters and emails.
