Larkmead Farm Vets strongly believe in investing in the future of farming in the UK. As well as encouraging staff development, we also facilitate many on-farm and classroom-based training programmes specifically designed for stockmen and women. Most of our vets have completed the LANTRA ‘train the trainer’ course and use this knowledge to help to deliver engaging and informative meetings.
We run a dairy discussion group that meets at least 4 times a year on farm to discuss topical issues that can help to improve health, welfare and productivity across the dairy industry.
We also offer EMS placements for student vets, a role we feel is important to ensure continued good quality veterinary provision for future farming generations.
Larkmead Vets joined XLVets in 2006. XLVets is a group of independently owned practices, throughout the UK. We work together sharing experience, knowledge, and skills in order to deliver the highest standards of veterinary practice, animal health, and productivity.
Larkmead Vets is also a Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons accredited farm practice. This ensures we remain at the forefront of livestock veterinary medicine and the accreditation is a reflection of the outstanding service we provide.
