Stephanie Badino BVM&S MRCVS

Hello, my name is Stephanie and I joined the Larkmead team in 2026 after 15 years as a small animal vet in Oxford.  I’m originally from Denmark but grew up in various countries (including Spain, Greece, and Thailand) going to English-speaking schools.

I went to vet school at the University of Edinburgh and graduated in 2010.  I enjoy medicine and soft tissue surgery, as well as treating small mammals. Outside work I enjoy going to the theatre, cinema and TV, spending time with my young niece and nephew, and I’m trying to get back into painting which I often did as a child.  I love to travel and have lots of countries on my bucket list to visit.

Daisy Pennycook BVSc MRCVS

Hello, I’m Daisy. I joined Larkmead in 2026 after moving to the area from the Highlands of Scotland (I think it’s around 500 miles) where the main population is deer and midges. I graduated vet school in 2025.

Outside of work I enjoy hiking with my black Labrador called Gertie, baking and reading.

Laura Sells BVSc BSc MRCVS

Hello, I’m Laura and our family relocated to Oxfordshire from Surrey earlier this year and I joined Larkmead in September 2025.  Originally from Yorkshire, I graduated from the University of Bristol in 2010 and after a short foray in mixed-practice with dreams of becoming a horse surgeon, I soon changed course to small animals. I completed a small animal internship at the RVC Queen Mother Hospital and have since worked in both private and charity practice across London. My clinical interests include chronic pain management, anaesthesia, and emergency and critical care—particularly surgery and trauma cases. When not at work, I love going on long hikes with my daft lurcher, Zip, cooking for friends and family and a bit of gardening. I also have two children, a rescue cat called Reggie and five chickens.

Emily Neve VetMB MA MRCVS

Hi I’m Emily – I joined the Larkmead team in 2025. Since graduating from Cambridge in 2022, I have gained a variety of experience in both general practice and referral practices. I am particularly interested in internal medicine and dermatology.

In my free time I love to stay active with running, cycling and climbing, and I also play the sax in a local band.

Lauren Telford BVMedSci (Hons) BVM BVS MRCVS

Hi, I’m Lauren and I graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2025.  During my veterinary degree, I completed a 2 week placement with Larkmead and am excited to be part of the team.

In my free time I enjoy reading and knitting/crocheting, as well as spending time outside going for walks in the countryside (even better if it’s with a dog). I’ve always enjoyed dance classes and I am hoping to pick up hockey again and join a local team.

Emily Nisbet BVSc MRCVS

Hello, my name is Emily. Before going to vet school, I previously worked at Larkmead as a VPA where I adopted my lovely cat Padraig. I graduated from the University of Bristol in 2025 and am now back as a vet at Larkmead! In my spare time I like to crochet, do yoga, and go walking.

Sarah Roos BVMedSci (Hons) BVM BVS MRCVS

Hello, I’m Sarah, I graduated from The University of Nottingham in 2025, and joined the Larkmead Team shortly after graduation.

I have a cat at home called Missy who is a sweet old tortie, but I love dogs too. I grew up in the desert in Bahrain, so I really enjoy hiking in the countryside, it still feels like a luxury to have such beautiful walks close by. I’m also a big fan of Parkrun and I play mixed lacrosse. I also play the flute too.

Alex d’Arcy BVMedSci (Hons) BVM BVS MRCVS

Hi, my name is Alex and I graduated from The University of Nottingham in 2025. I completed  many weeks of placement and work experience at Larkmead during my veterinary degree and am thrilled to have joined the team.

In my free time I enjoy looking after my houseplants, playing golf and lacrosse as well as running.  At home I have 3 kittens whom I enjoy spending time with.
