My name is Laura and I joined Larkmead as a Practice Assistant in 2020. I gained nursing experience through Larkmead which then led me to complete their nursing apprenticeship through Sparsholt College. I qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in January 2026. You’ll mainly find me at our Wantage practice.

I have wanted to be a vet nurse for as long as I can remember, loving animals from a young age and wanting to help them and make a difference to not only them but their owner as well. My favourite part about being a vet nurse is caring for inpatients, looking after them and getting to know their little characters throughout their stay in the practice.

I have a few pets myself. I have a cheeky spaniel, a naughty cat, a stroppy rescue bunny, an inquisitive horse and a silly turtle. They are my world and between them they make me laugh multiple times a day.

Outside of work I enjoy riding my horse, long walks with the dog (and the husband), crafts, reading and spending time with my family.
