Hi, my name is Julian Slater and I am a Large Animal Vet at Larkmead. I graduated from the University of Liverpool in 1982 and joined this practice in 2017. I specialise in large animal practice and have a Diploma in Bovine Reproduction. What I love is that it is often client demand that stimulates new areas of work and I try to keep updated on whatever clients are requesting. This way it helps clients and develops my specialisms too.

The best part of the job for me is the variety and challenges. No two days are the same for us here and the sheer diversity is what motivates me every day.

Outside of work I really enjoy outdoors activities, mostly walking and cycling; music, including playing the piano, singing, and enjoying live classical music. I also enjoy cooking.
