Which vaccine or vaccines to use on your flock is a decision that can have far-reaching economic consequences. Some of the vaccines may be unnecessary or even inadvisable in your flock, whilst others may be essential. Failure to vaccinate against the latter group could leave you at risk of severe disease and consequent economic loss. As part of our Flock Health-Plan service, we will advise you which vaccines you should be using, and draw up a vaccination programme tailored specifically to your flock and the risks that it faces.

Purchasing

Those vaccines highlighted and marked with an asterix* above are in the distribution category POM-V, and may only be purchased from a veterinary surgeon, or from a pharmacist against a veterinary prescription.

The remainder of the vaccines above are in the distribution category POM-VPS, which means that they can be purchased from a veterinary surgeon, pharmacist or agricultural merchant.

As part of the XLVets group, Larkmead are able to buy all medicines very competitively and we will be very pleased to quote you for any of your sheep vaccine requirements.
