Jennie Batt, BVetMed.MRCVS.

Jennie is a key member of the Larkmead Veterinary Group pig team, working alongside John, Adrian, Julia and Liz to provide consultancy advice to numerous herds around the South of England. Jennie is also heavily involved in the Hampshire Training Group stockman training schemes and with BPEX. She is currently studying for her post-graduate Certificate in Pig Medicine.

 
 

   

Liz Bennett, BVM&S.MRCVS.

Liz has a large amount of experience with all farm animals and is a valuable member of the pig and cattle teams. She is also on the panel of Riding School inspectors, and is involved with medicine trial work.

We are pleased to report that Liz gave birth to a bouncing (8lb 9oz) girl, Rosie, on 12th August. Liz is now on maternity leave, but will be returning to work in 2008.

 

 

   

Adrian Cox, BVetMed.MRCVS.

Adrian is another member of the Larkmead Veterinary Group pig team. He acts as a consultant for many pig herds across the UK and is also heavily involved with the MLC ZAP-Salmonella Scheme.

 
 

   

Evan David, BVSc.MRCVS.

Evan has a keen interest in modern day dairy and beef enterprises, with a particular interest in fertility, nutrition, mastitis and preventative medicine. He is also interested in sheep and goat medicine and has a special interest in game birds.

 

 

   

Stephen Greenhalgh, BA.VetMB.MRCVS.

Stephen joined Larkmead Veterinary Group after qualifying from Cambridge University this summer. He has joined the farm animal and equine team and will be covering all species.

 

 

   

Adelle Issacs, BVSc.MRCVS.

Adelle has joined Larkmead Veterinary Group after qualifying from Bristol University this summer. Like Stephen, Adelle has joined the farm animal and equine team.

 

 

   

Julia James, MAVetMB.MRCVS.

Julia is a partner in the practice and has vast experience of all areas of mixed practice. Julia represented the UK in the pentathlon and is a very experienced horsewoman. She leads the equine side of the practice, but is also a member of the Larkmead Veterinary Group pig team, with responsibility for a large pig genetic-transfer company.

 
 

   

John Mackinnon, BVetMed.CertPM.FRCVS.

John is a key member of the Larkmead Veterinary Group pig team. He holds the post-graduate Certificate in Pig Medicine and is also a Fellow of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. He is a past President of the Pig Veterinary Society and is an internationally recognised specialist in pig medicine. John has advisory positions with pharmaceutical companies in the UK and also undertakes consultancies in the UK and abroad. Together with Jennie, he is heavily involved in the Hampshire Training Group training courses for stockmen, and with BPEX.

 

   

Graeme McPherson, BVSc.MRCVS.

Graeme is that rare creature, an Australian who has emigrated to settle in the UK. Graeme first worked for Larkmead Veterinary Group in 1999 as a locum vet, but returned in 2006 to settle with his wife and family in Wallingford. Graeme has considerable experience in all farm species, but works predominantly with cattle and sheep.

 
 

   

Claerwen Randolph, BVSc.GPCertFAP.MRCVS.

Claerwen has a particular interest in beef and dairy cattle and leads the ruminant team. She enjoys routine visits and advisory work, with a special interest in fertility, mastitis and nutrition. Claerwen has experience in the BCVA Herd Health Plan and Interherd, and she is studying for the Certificate in Cattle Health & Production. Claerwen is also our expert in camelid medicine.

We are pleased to report that Claerwen gave birth to a baby boy, Jonathan, on 11th November '07. Claerwen is now on maternity leave, but will be returning to work in 2008.

 
 

 

 

Chris Trower, BVetMed.DSHP.MRCVS.

Chris holds the post-graduate Diploma in Sheep Health and Production, and is a past-president of the Sheep Veterinary Society. He is recognised as a specialist in sheep medicine and undertakes consultancy work within the UK.

Chris has worked for Larkmead Veterinary Group since qualifying and now acts as Clinical Director for the farm animal practice.
