Alpacas and llamas have become increasingly popular in the UK over the last 15 years, both as producers of high quality fleeces and as pets.

Larkmead Veterinary Group has considerable experience with these species, and in particular with alpacas. We provide veterinary services to a number of well-established, high quality, alpaca breeding farms, as well as many local pet owners.

Many of the problems we see in alpacas are as a result of common and often preventable disorders.

We have produced a fact sheet for our clients which gives advice on many of these problems.    

We also offer routine health monitoring of herds through regular health visits, and will assist you in drawing up a herd health plan.
